Review
„Acoustic Songs“ – acoustical debut from Grayhound O.C.D.!
Indie Rock different style
Most Rockbands want to party hard! But Grayhound O.C.D. are different. Though they also do rock, one can always recognize this sensitive, meldoy-loving and soft side in their songs between all the guitars. Logical next step: acoustic album.
No matter if it’s owed to frontman Gray’s preference for classical or modern Folk, or if it’s just that Grayhound O.C.D. songs work well in a small instrumentation, the album „Acoustic Songs“ will be released on 09/12/16 .
The acoustic version of their 2013 song „Where my heart has its home“ with which they were nominated in the categoy „Best Alternative“ at the Hollywood Music in Media Awards, already attracted national and international attention. Also a lot of Unplugged gigs led to the decision to record an acoustic album in the Singer/Songwriter tradition, just vocals and guitar and some fine further musical nuances.
„Acoustic Songs“ contains 7 honest and emotional songs between ballad and midtempo track. As as bonus there’s an orchestral version of „Wake Up Caroline“ which was already released as a single this November.
The song was recorded in the Empire Studios/Germany by Rolf Munkes (Razorback, Crematory), – producer, guitar player and Co – composer.
