Easter Reloaded – Hasenbar celebrate their 2nd album “Das harte Brot des süßen Lebens“

Easter is gone. And while the left over chocolate bunnies are melting in the supermarket, this bunch of rabbits comes along to celebrate the hard bread of sweet life…

In 2017, Hasenbar released their debut album “Nachtwanderung  durch dein Gehirn“ at the KHB Music sublabel Handmade Tunes. Now it’s time for the successor. “Das harte Brot des süßen Lebens” will be published on March 30 and again became a typical Hasenbar album, even though the strumming guitars had to give way to more acoustic sounds and sometimes to Elektronica. The concept “German Indie Pop” remains. Musically the trio from South Hessia likes to quote the big REM and shows spiritual affinity to Lo-Fi bands like Guided by Voices.
On seven new songs they let us know that they disagree with the current conditions. Lyrically Hasenbar move between ironic-sarcastic and strikingly explicit. They also reveal their “darker side” on two of the tracks.
