elysha „Fake It All“ an Electro-Pop Track About Identity, Pain, and the Decision to Finally Be Yourself

With “Fake It All,” singer elysha opens a new chapter. The debut track combines modern electro-pop elements with an emotional depth drawn directly from her own lived experiences. It is a song about vulnerability, about the shadows that continue to follow you, and about the moment you stop playing a role that was never truly yours.

A song about faking it — and an artist who refuses to do so any longer

Before elysha found her current artistic path, she performed under the name Miri Brook in the Mallorca and German Schlager scene. It was a phase that steered her away from herself and pushed her into an image she could neither shape nor identify with.

Her clothing, her behavior, her public statements — even her real hobbies — were dictated. Her passion for motorcycles, for instance, wasn’t allowed to be mentioned because it didn’t fit the “product-friendly cliché.” She was expected to embody alcohol-fueled excess, maintain an artificial party persona, and play a character that had nothing to do with her real self. Yet this enforced façade was only the beginning.

Over time, professional and personal circumstances became increasingly difficult for elysha, ultimately leading to a clear break with her former environment. Tensions in interpersonal interactions, structural dependencies, and various organizational and financial uncertainties caused her to question her path and eventually make the decision to start anew — on her own terms.

For elysha, this marked a period of reflection, reorientation, and finally, liberation. Only through conversations, support, and exchange with people she trusted did she truly understand the scope of what she had experienced. “I had to accept that I was expected to become someone I’m not — and that boundaries had been crossed,” she says. “‘Fake It All’ is my artistic response to that time.”

The protagonist struggles — the artist has already broken free

Lyrically, the song follows a protagonist still caught in this emotional struggle. Lines such as “Your shadow’s glued right onto my shoe” or “Every smile I force just deepens the blow” portray a woman unable to shake off her lingering shadows.
She keeps an old jacket in her closet, sprays his perfume, changes her routes to avoid possible encounters — and still feels his presence, at least within herself.

But while the figure in the song is still fighting inwardly, the real artist has already made her choice: to let go, rise up, live authentically, share her story openly, and rediscover herself creatively. This contrast is what gives the track its emotional power.

The sound: modern, clear, international

Musically, “Fake It All” shows that elysha is far more than an emotional voice. The track could easily have come from one of the major international studios.
Her vocals carry the weight of her experiences and deliver the kind of attack that gives the song dynamic movement while also revealing her vulnerability.
Soft synth layers add subtle accents, the tempo remains intentionally restrained yet powerful. The production is modern and precise without losing its emotional core — making the track well-suited for mainstream radio and contemporary playlists alike.

The story resonates

Various media outlets — including BILD — have already shown interest in both the release and elysha’s personal story. For the artist, however, this attention is not the motivation but an opportunity to transform her experiences into something constructive. “I want to make music that genuinely comes from me,” she says. “‘Fake It All’ is the first song that truly does that.
